something crafty is in the works

Matt Wringe and I spent Saturday afternoon hacking on the java-access-bridge. We are trying to use it to generate keyboard events so that Matt can use the java-gnome bindings to make an on-screen keyboard app for his tablet. We both learned tons of stuff but the patch that we ended up with didn’t work :(. Hopefully the SUN guys can give us a hand.

[Update] Matt posted a message to the gnome a11y list and apparenlty we weren’t doing this right. It turns out that we didn’t need that patch. Oh well.

I went on a pseudo-roadtrip last weekend to Cleveland. It was fun. I got to meet Allison’s family and some of her friends. And I took some cool pictures …
