something crafty is in the works

efj

So I finally got around to fixing up the problems I was having with the standalone EFJ (Eclipse Formatter for Java). It seems that the jdt.core plugin wasn’t initializing properly with the 3.1M5 based release so I had to make it more of an Eclipse RCP app. There are details in the README if you’re interested:

I think that EFJ is basically done. The patch made it’s way into Fedora’s Eclipse, so if you’re running Fedora and have Eclipse you should be able to run “efj” on the command line. I’m going to see if the Debian and Gentoo people are interested in carrying the patch as well.

I was hoping that it would be accepted upstream, but the bug was closed with “RESOLVED LATER” and no JDT developers commented on the patch. So I guess they’re not interested - oh well, their loss.
